I am researching my relatives in South Wales, and have been told of an uncle who had a draper's shop in Oakdale in the 1960's. He was Jesse BRAMMER and had a son Leonard and daughter Evelyn.
I have seen a letter head which states " J. Brammer, Ladies and Gents Tailoring and Outfitting 3 & 7 Central Buildings, Oakdale." Can anyone tell me anything about this firm?

I'm looking for info on 3xg. grandfather WILLIAM RICHARDS, Blacksmith, born Mynyddislwyn c.1821. His father was DAVID RICHARDS a carpenter and his siblings were ANN [c.1819]; THOMAS [c.1823]; EBENEZER [c.1826]; DAVID [c.1828] & RACHEL [c.1834]. By 1841 census they had moved to Garth near Nelson.

Looking for information on the marriage of JAMES GEORGE PENNY (of Mynyddyslwyn) to FLORENCE JULIA ONIONS (Brynmawr) in 1905. Certificate says they were married in the "established church" at Llanhilleth. This appears to be St. Iltyd. Can anyone confirm this, or have access to any marriage registers from Llanhilleth where they could look it up?

Still Looking for a marriage of Benjamin and Harriet. The family came to New Zealand in 1865. Benjamin and Harriet joined the Salvation Army Religion out here. They were in the first call up. Was early methodism or a Non conformist Religion a pre requisit for Salvation Army starting up ?
