Exhibition of Antique Quilts

Exhibition of Antique Quilts - Most of these treasures are normally only on
view at the HQ of the Quilt Association in Llanidloes, added to these are
some local contributions displayed in the Barn and Education Centre.
Learn about antique quilts from local celebrities, mini-workshops talks and
demonstrations and buy from the traders for a nominal fund raising fee in
support of the Quilt Association organised by Ystrad Mynach Quilters.
Admission to Exhibition only £2.00. Normal Admission prices to visit the
Manor House includes admission to the Exhibition.

at 8am on Saturday 10 May. The event features a special guest
speaker – Phil Davies, former Commercial Director of Newport Rugby
Club, who will talk about his greatest conversion – to Christianity!

and a fun walk for families around Parc Penallta. The walks will lead you across
the spectacular valleys landscape of the county borough, through woodland,
farmland and across open moorland. You will be treated to some fantastic
views towards the Brecon Beacons National Park, over Cardiff Bay and the
Bristol Channel.

Oakdale Community Centre – Annual General Meeting

All residents of Penmaen Ward (Oakdale, Penmaen & Woodfieldside)
are invited to attend the Annual General Meeting of the Community Centre,
to be held 6.30pm Wednesday 21 May in the Centre, Penrhiw Avenue.
The Centre’s Management Committee will report on what they have achieved
in the last year, and you can vote for four people to join the committee.
