At Penyfan Pond you will find a whole range of outdoor activities. Situated only a mile or two from Oakdale, Pen-y-fan pond is one of the last remaining canal feeder reservoirs in Wales. The reservoir is now the focal point of this country park. Penyfan Pond Country Park caters for all types of watersport by prior arrangement. The Country Park is a popular summertime family attraction, offering a safe, flat open park to picnic, fly a kite or take an easy ramble. Anglers can enjoy a days fly fishing here as well (day tickets available from Pontllanfraith Leisure Centre, telephone: 01495 224562). Walkers can use the park as a base to explore the beautiful countryside around Manmoel.
