Formed in 1925, the Club has functioned continuously, since that time,
to the present date.
The season, 2003, has seen the Club promoted to Division 2 of the
Monmouthshire Bowling Association, Saturday bowling league.
The Club, currently, has 25 members, and therefore achieves a great deal with
such a small squad of players to draw from.
The Club is an outdoor Club, playing at the Welfare Ground, Oakdale.
It plays two league matches per week. A match in the Rhymney and Sirhowy
Valley Bowling Association League, each Wednesday evening; and the
aforementioned Saturday game.
The Season usually, lasts from April to Mid September.
The Bowling Green usually opens at 1.00 pm., and closes at dusk.
